GIVEAWAY: The best bra in the world

I have found the best bra in the world. And I’m ready to give one away!

Let me preface—I feel like I’ve tried on every bra in the world. From Walmart to Nordstrom’s to Italy, I’ve seen them all. I stuck with Victoria’s Secret for a while just bevcause they’re supposed to be the bra experts, right? But I always felt like they didn’t offer any support.

A few years ago, I saw an Oprah episode on Nordstrom’s and their awesome bra fittings, so I went, and spent $150 on three bras. That’s how desperate I am to find a good bra. I’m a 34D or 34DD—in the words of Jessica Simpson’s father: “You can’t cover those suckers up!”

About a year ago, I finally just realized that I was going to have to settle for expensive bras that offered decent–not great– coverage. I really hate when I get that under-boob thing going on…

And then—the blog heavens answered my prayers.

Teacher Girl Blogs held a giveaway on her blog for an Assets Brilliant Bra. I could always try out another bra, so I entered the contest, and to my absolute delight—I won!

When I finally got to wear the bra, I loved it! And the more I found out about the bra, the more I loved it! Here are 5 reasons I absolutely love this bra.

1)      It clasps in the front. Why on earth bra-makers still make clasps in the back I will never understand. My arms do not go backwards! I shouldn’t have to clasp it first and then turn it around and pull the straps up! Clasp in the front? LOVE it.

2)      You can adjust the bra straps from the front. GENIUS! Don’t you hate when you realize you need to pull the bra straps up so then you have to take your whole bra off, adjust the straps, and then put it on again in that weird way because the clasp is in the back? Not with this bra! I just see I need to be a little perkier, and adjust the strap right there! Easy Peasy!

3)      No unsightly bulges! Don’t you hate when you see someone who is obviously wearing the wrong bra size, like 20 pounds ago, and has all that back fat bulging through the seams of their shirt? Not with this bra! The smooth texture blends in with your shirt so you don’t have to worry about bulges! (unless you still insist on wearing the 32 when you’re seriously a 36…)

And 4) It provides support!!! Seriously—if my boobs can handle this bra, your boobs can too!

AND Target sells these bras for $32 bucks. A bra that doesn’t break my budget!

So do your boobs a favor and enter this giveaway contest!

To enter:

1)      For one entry: Submit a comment below and if you’re feeling lucky, tell me a funny bra/boob story if you have one.

And that’s it! The winner will be chosen by random.org and will be announced Feb.  7! Because I’m feeling lucky!

I have been dying looking for bras that fit that aren’t ugly, I seriously want to scream. I will try Target!

  2. Shaba

Ooo! I’d love to win a nice bra. I feel like all of mine are slouchy and gross.
Plus, I never know what size I am and even when I get fitted it never feels right.

  3. Jan Jordan

I read the funniest book called Knockers by Ellyn Oaksmith and it was about a gal Molly Gallagher ,who was going in for a routine surgery and by mistake ended up with a breast implant s. Each breast had a different personality one was a southern Negress and the other an Irish man and they talk to each other as these two personality’s encouraged the heroine Molly to have more confidence and take risks. Funny book

I could totally use a new bra! I don’t really have any funny stories…just that they aren’t what they used to be after breastfeeding 2 children.

  5. Fabulously Frugirl

I don’t have a funny bra story, except that none seem to fit me!

  6. Tiffany Wimberley

Unfortunately I have no funny bra/boob stories…my man is just tired of seeing me wear the same VS bra that doesn’t fit right! I would love to win this….and even if I don’t I might actually go check em’ out myself. Better than VS, I’m sold!

I have no funny bra stories, that I can think of at the moment, but I do only have ONE bra that fits correctly and it’s getting pretty worn out from wearing it everyday. I could totally use a bra that fits and I love that this one has front adjusting straps.

Hello dear! saw your post on twitter =)

Funny bra story? I used to wear one that was far too small. and a demi/balconet. Let’s just say that it took a few mishaps to finally trash the bra. ugh. Yes. I fell out of it. mucho.

    myyy bad!

  9. Courtney

Amen to the comment about the straps…I hate that I have to do the same to put in my bra. I haven’t found any front clasp ones in a LONG time. This would be awesome to win!!

  10. Courtney

I tweeted about it…my twitter handle is @courtincolorado.

We’re boob twins! No seriously, my boobs are huge – 34DD over here folks. (I can’t believe I just admitted that on the Internet.)

Regardless, I needz a good bra. The ones I have are… working… but they could do better.

PS VS bras suck for large breasted women. Just saying.

  13. Michaela Massaro

I am in serious need of a new bra!

  14. Lauren Elizabeth Monsey Nagel

I wish I had a funny story about a bra. I guess the funniest thing I can think of is the fact that I really didn’t actually need a bra till i was about 20. (that’s pathetic, not funny, lol)
    But I need one now!

  15. Sonya

    Sounds like a great bra!

  16. Laura

My story: I had a bra snap completely break during a staff meeting at work. While I was presenting a project. Yeah…it was really embarrassing—it basically made my shirt pop forward and then it just hung there. That’s what I get for buying a cheap bra with only one ghetto clasp.

    Oh, pick me, pick me!

You know what’s funny? I had actually *never* thought about why the dang adjusters and clasp are in the back. But it IS stupid!

My bra story: I’ve had breasts since about sixth grade. They ballooned out in 8th grade. Up to that point, I had been a 36C. It was, in my eyes, the perfect size. I was NOT going up to a D. So I wore my too small C cup, with breasts OBVIOUSLY bulging over the top for a year before my mother dragged me kicking and screaming into Victoria’s Secret. Ridiculous. ;)

  19. sophieandmomma

well…I was in a bible study…feeding my daughter under the cover of one of those cool feeding blankets…and well I forgot to “fix” my bra…I was wondering why I felt so uncomfy! It’s kind of weird, but glad I was among women.

  20. Hannah

Just Tweeted: I just entered @NewlywedsBudget’s Assets bra giveaway! Check it out: http://www.newlywedsonabudget.com/?p=635

I was an A my entire life and since dating my husband I’ve graduated to a B. My bras had been fitting sightly odd lately so this weekend, while at the VS outlet, I realized I was actually a SMALLER C! It felt pretty awesome going “up” a cup size but having a bra that fit me better. Who knew a 36 B was bigger than a 34 C!

As an A team girl most of my life – this weekend’s revelation was amazing!

    Thanks for hosting this giveaway!

  22. Bronwen

Nice! I have been wearing the Spanx bra for a while now, and it’s pretty much the same concept (no small wonder, it’s the same company) but they don’t have the adjustable straps, so this is great! The Spanx version definitely eliminates the back fat, and gives my 34-D gals some great shape!

  23. Kelly

AWESOME giveaway. As someone with DD’s – good bra’s are always welcome….

In fact, I’m probably going to go to Target today to try them on! :-) haha

  24. Kari@CashAndKari

I hear ya sister. I’m also a D/DD and have a horrible time finding bras that fit. Most of the bras that I’ve found that are comfortable mush my boobs down and are what my DBF calls “Granny bras”. The ones that are “sexy” are horribly uncomfortable, don’t fit right and/or half of my boob hangs out over the top. Who makes a demi bra for someone with a 34D cup? Ridiculous! $32 bucks is a steal for a bra that fits right and it comfortable. I’ll be headed to Target right away to try one of these bad boys.

  25. nysoonergirl

    Awesome giveaway!

  26. Selwyn

Only if they were giving away a brilliant fit in a 34H I could make a girlfriend really happy for her birthday February 18th.

  27. Jennifer

I also have the same trouble finding a great bra! Don’t we all? I’d love a new bra because I think my sizing is different now after a baby!

  28. Akirah

    Just tweeted!

    1. Akirah

Oh goodness…I forgot the link: http://twitter.com/#!/quarterlifelady/status/31918270571352065

  29. Akirah

This isn’t really funny, but sadly, I am losing my boobies because of weight loss. I so wish my stomach of arm flab would go instead, but you know how it is. The boobies are usually the first to go.

  30. Mary

I only have measly B cup boobs but I could still benefit from being able to fasten and adjust my bra without having to be a contortionist! Thanks for the rec, I’ll be checking these out whether I win or not!

  31. Stevie

Also, I’ll be tweeting about the giveaway! @seattlestevie

  32. Stevie

Oh man, I’m well endowed in the chest area, too, and would LOVE to find a supportive bra that’s affordable. I must win this!

  33. Susan

I am the same size as you and I never, ever run. I’m afraid of getting a black eye!

  34. LBC Teacher

I’m in! I like the Incredible bra by VS, but I am busty too, so I’d love to try a great bra. My funny bra story is that once in 8th grade I was wearing one that clasped in the front and it totally busted open on the bus on the way home from school. I was SO embarrassed, even though I was small then, so I doubt anyone noticed. :)

  35. Carol

I’d love to win, I’ve been needing to get some new ones and the features of this one sound wonderful!!

    thanks for hosting a giveaway!

  36. Clarice

I feel like I have tried so many types of bras. I swear one day I will get a reduction, but a bra that makes things easier for now is a great idea.

  37. Jackie

I know the feeling – once you find a bra that fits, you STICK WITH IT! I am also a 34DD and always had the hardest time finding the right fit. I have one from VS that does the trick. The rest…can not compare. Through 9th grade boys would make fun of me for being so flat chested. Who’s laughing now?! While they are a pain sometimes and make it hard to wear button up shirts, I wouldn’t trade!

  38. Randa

I COMPLETELY feel you on this – I’ve been searching for a good fitting bra my entire life and have yet to find one that’s good on all marks. Oh, and I’ve gone through probably four or five VS bras and have just given up. They just never work for me! Good for you for finding one that works!

  39. Kiersten

I feel you on the bra, I’m in the D-DD range and nothing seems to life & separate (LOL) like it should!

  40. Mrs. Puma

I’d love to win a bra, I’ve been struggling to find just the right kind of bra for several years too. I wear the Incredible bra from VS, and the one that clasps in the front is ok, but it’s a Y-back and I’d really like a regular shape that will stay on my little slanted shoulders!
