Saving money on eyeglasses

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Zenni Optical for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

As a newlywed on a budget, I am consistently looking for new ways to save money. I already use coupons at the grocery store, we rarely go out to eat without a coupon or Groupon, and I love to buy most of my clothes on sale or at thrift stores.

So I was extremely happy when I was contacted by Zenni Optical to write a review about their inexpensive eyeglasses.

I wear contacts daily, but love a decent pair of eyeglasses for evenings or on days where I just don’t feel like wearing contacts. However, I am too stingy to purchase the $200-$400 pair of eyeglasses offered at my optometrist’s office. Why, oh why, are eyeglasses sooo expensive?

Zenni offers thousands of eyeglasses at inexpensive price points, starting at just $6.95! This is a great alternative to paying hundreds of dollars for designer-name eyeglasses with the little writing on the frame telling the world you paid full price : )

Zenni Optical is perfect for kids who frequently lose or break eyeglasses, or just for a spare pair when you need one.

And in case you needed more than my word for it, check out this Time Magazine reader who wrote about the glasses too!

Hey, Bill, Can You Read This?
Please tell me editor Bill Saporito is receiving mental-health treatment, because he is insane for spending $1,000 on a single pair of glasses. I buy glasses from Zenni Optical, an online site. It’s $20 for a complete set at my doorstep, shipping included.

Like Zenni, GlassesShop.com sells only their own manufactured frames direct to the customer, with no middlemen and virtually no advertising budget. I really like these two stores.

Great tip about Zenni! I wear glasses for only an hour or two a day so I feel the same way about spending a lot of money on a pair for such a short amount of time. I’ll check the site out. Thanks Erika! xoxo

So glad to see Zenni getting their name out there – my last few pairs are from them and it really is pretty awesome to buy prescription glasses for less than my F21 sunglasses…
