Giveaway: Win $500 in Paypal Cash

You may all remember how I was a huge fan of clipping coupons back in the day. In fact, I became obsessed at one point. It was like I couldn’t stop saving money!

Seeing as we were living in a shack back then, I had to stuff all my supplies in our tiny shared closet. I finally realized I had a problem when I was hiding toilet paper in my kitchen.

These days, I’m not much of a newspaper coupon-clipper, but I still use plenty of other techniques to save money. Anytime I buy something online, whether it’s from Amazon, or signing up for a DietBet, I always always ALWAYS do a quick search beforehand for an online coupon.

You’re already online anyway, the extra 30 seconds to do a search for a coupon code is completely worth any money you can save. I would say more than 50% of the time, I’m able to cut my bill by at least a nominal amount. Like when American Eagle had a sale for $20 jeans, I still searched for American Eagle coupons online to increase my savings even further.

Which is why today’s giveaway is so great. You can use your winnings to go shopping and then hop onto their site to search for an online coupon and save even more money! Today’s giveaway is brought to you by Rather-Be-Shopping.com, helping consumers save money with online coupons since 2000.

To enter for a chance to win $500 via Paypal (so open to everyone worldwide!), simply fill out the Rafflecopter below. Good luck!

Wonderful giveaway! Coupons are really money-savers and if you have enough time, then why not always take chances with coupons, right?

I need to be better about doing that quick search for online coupons before I purchase anything. I do clip the sunday paper, but that’s about it.

We use coupons when we can because if the savings are there we will take them. One thing I like to do is track the savings all year long in our budget spreadsheet and you know what, I enjoy seeing the money I saved rather than spent in the budget. It all adds up! Great contest!! Good Luck everyone.

I try to use coupons when possible. Right now we are in Lake Tahoe and found a $3 off coupon for cross-country skiing per person. We pulled over two more hotel lobbies until we were able to find 3 more coupons so that all 4 of us had one coupon each. I need to look into online coupons more…seems like a sweet deal!

Great tips! thanks for participating in this.

The cool thing about online coupons is there is no clipping required and the time it takes to search for coupon is nothing. I had to laugh at Tanner’s comment, why some people don’t take advantage of FREE money is beyond me!

I was at Joann’s Fabrics over the weekend (the place is full of coupons on its own!), and a long-term shopper (she identified herself as such) came in and we chatted for a bit. I was just looking for steam-a-seam tape, but she had a whole mini basket going on for scrapbooking. Then when we got to the end of the line, she placed the items in the counter, paid, and bid farewell. I just kind of stared a bit surprised. No coupons! I had just picked up their circular at the store with a 50% off 1 item, so my Steam-a-seam went from $4 to $2. But I remember when I used to buy a lot of fabrics, I’d space them out and scout the web for coupons, and it saves SO much money. Though I don’t shop that much, it makes it all the more important to get a great deal when I do shop!
