honeymoon cruise ideas, honeymoon tips, honeymoon ideasWeddings are expensive, and the cost of the honeymoon can also be a lot more than most newlyweds expect it will be. If you want to save money on your honeymoon, check out cruise deals on cruises around the world for the chance to see lots of different destinations for a lot less than you think.

Explore the Canary Islands

The magic of cruise holidays is that they are perfect for destinations like the Canary Islands, which can be found in the Atlantic Ocean, not far from the coast of Africa.

Perhaps some of the most popular destinations in Spain, visitors on a cruise ship can sail around all the islands, making stops at Las Palmas on Gran Canaria, Valle Gran Ray on La Gomera, Puerto de la Estaca on El Hierro and Santa Cruz de La Palma on La Palma.

On these cruises, customers are encouraged to go on excursions to the islands and really immerse themselves in Canarian life, by trying local foods, such as papas arrugadas (wrinkly potatoes), and visiting sites like Mount Teide, Tenerife’s famous volcano.

See more of Italy

The Mediterranean is one of the most beautiful places in the world; exceptional beaches and scenery, and wonderfully tasty food. A cruise to the Mediterranean will open up this side of the world to you, but cruises are especially good for visiting Italy.

The boot shape of Italy is as iconic as the food that it unleashed upon the world, and because of the popularity of Italian culture around the world, there are always cruise deals and other exclusive discounts to travelers to this part of the world.

Some of the ships on cruise deals will dock at some of Italy’s best known cities, such as the capital Rome, the picturesque town of Venice, where you disembark and then board a gondola and explore the city by boat, as well as sites a little further afield, like Crotone in Calabria and Messina in Sicily.

Unlock the beauty of Croatia

Often overlooked by honeymooners, Croatia is perhaps one of Europe’s best-kept secrets for travelers. Boasting a mix of Mediterranean and continental climates, Croatia attracts millions of tourists every year, enticed by its blend of cultures and amazing history.

Cruises to Croatia are vast and diverse, with many people opting to go on river cruises, as well as traditional sea cruises to the country. If you’re on a traditional cruise ship, you will probably dock at Zadar on mainland Croatia, where you can learn more about the city’s 3,000 year history and explore the exceptional Krk National Park, where you can see the Skradinski Buk Waterfalls.

You can also sail to Dubrovnik and two of the many islands in the Adriatic Sea, usually Hvar and Korcula, where you can watch traditional sword dances and take a mini cruise along the beautiful Korcula Riviera.

Honeymoon cruise is just a great idea! Though I and my wife didn’t have this when we’re newly weds, but we are saving for this kind of trip. We’re aiming for either Croatia or Spain. I think Canary islands would be a good choice as well.
