Focus on the Positive and Weekly Roundup

In my goal to be more positive, I’ll be doing occasional posts on things that make me happy, even if it’s really small. I can’t guarantee that it will be a weekly column, but I look forward to writing about good things and not just complaining all the time. Hey, I’m a girl…

  • I’m thankful this week for Eric cooking dinner last night. It was the one weeknight out of the whole week that he was off work so it was nice to spend some time with him.
  • I am happy that it is raining because I that means I don’t have to water our vegetable garden!
  • I am praying for Eric’s job interview next week.
  • I am looking forward to a friend’s birthday dinner tomorrow and an otherwise low-key weekend!

Five for Friday

Our Freaking Budget is one of my new favorite blogs. I love that their personality comes through in their writing. This week, they talked about why they won’t be buying house this year despite the pressure to buy right now.

Plunged in Debt talked about the sexiest thing their money has bought. I won’t give you any hints, except to say that I think it is very sexy.

Club Thrifty’s post on how their child is waking up at 2 in the morning every night reminded me why we don’t have kids yet. I think my ovaries were thanking me as I read the post.

Canadian Budget Binder featured a great guest post from a single mom on how she turned her passion into a flexible part time job.

I loved Budget and the Beach‘s post on her reason for choosing happiness. Sometimes you do have to make a commitment to see the positive.

I do the same, think about 3 positive things before I sleep at the end of the day, there is always something, even small to be happy for.

I’m okay with the rain but only because I got to spend the day at home. Sigh. I should NEVER complain though because I know it’s good for the earth. Love the positivity shout outs!

You’re happy it’s raining and I’m dreaming of it… want some snow? Thinking positive does make the day seem brighter even if it is only a thought, smile, hug or small gesture. Thanks for the mention, I love sharing personal stories with the fans and this one is no exception. Cheers
