Hey I noticed that you want to write a will before your baby arrives, I have heard that it is best to do it after the baby is born and modify with every new bundle of joy because legally you will be using the child’s name in the will. Also whats wrong with a minivan? You are never fully prepared for children so do your best but dont let it stop you from having your family.

I’ve been told the opposite of this so I’d suggest making sure you have a living will and that you talk to both of your families about your wishes in case of an emergency.
Love that you did a baby bucket list. Mine is kind of outrageous (we’re looking at 2016/7) and I think its because I’d like to put off babies as long as possible!

I loved this idea so much I came up with one of my own! http://dontthinkorjudge.blogspot.com/2012/02/pre-baby-bucket-list.html
I, however, am SO ready for kids, it’s just a case of waiting now and enjoying this time Hubby & I have together before our world gets turned upside down. I can’t wait!

Congratulations for the choice of visiting Europe! If you ever find yourself in Ireland, let me know and I’ll give you some hints about places to see and things to do. If you like to have an Irish barbecue (i.e. sun, rain, sun, rain, etc), you’re welcome!

Hi! I’ve just started following your blog and I love it! I will be getting married in February, and thank god we’ve already started the open dialogue about money, so there will be no surprises, but that doesn’t mean there is no debt.
I noticed that on your baby bucket list you’ve got increasing life insurance as one of your items. I would suggest that you put that item in top priority because each year that passes, the life insurance becomes more expensive and it’s not just baby steps, it’s huge jumps. What i’ve done is gone to insurance websites and put in possible covereage amounts with my current age, and then i’ll change the age slightly to see what happens, and it is astounding. Also… get it while you’re both healthy because if ONE thing happens… you won’t quality.

Inspiring…I’d love to do many of those things too–and I’m working on baby #3!
Sometimes, life happens, and it’s good for kids to see parents continually working on goals.

I totally love this. Chuck and I should definitely sit down and do this too since we’re looking to start a family around the same time 2013, 2014-ish.
I keep telling my friends that before we can even think about having a baby we need to have a 3rd bedroom. It’s not just the need for more space, but the financial stability of being able to afford a bigger place. I’d also like to master a healthy lifestyle before trying to raise a baby. Get down to a healthy weight, start eating better, etc.
It’s definitely going to take some time.

Love your website! Just found it and I’m definitely going to start following. Love your baby bucket list. I’m going to have to write a list like this! My husband and I got married Oct. 2010 and it seems we are in a similar situation in life as you.

Awesome on crossing “Go on a hot air balloon ride” off the bucket list. Have you considered having your honeymoon in Asia? Then you could cross off “go somewhere exotic for a honeymoon” and “Travel to Asia.”
